Ballroom and Biscotti - Review - Ems

Is it me, or is Taylor just so annoying? How do these people put up with him? I would react just like Luke. And after this episode, he just got even more annoying, I'm so glad Rory finally stood up for herself (regarding the whole Ice Cream Queen thingy). Watching him just makes me want to strangle him.

This brings me to Jackson. Although its sweet how much he loves Sookie, and how much he cares for his baby, he's still a little to quirky for me. I mean come on, he made buttons that said "I don't want to know the sex of my baby". Ok, maybe one for him, but a whole basket full of them? But then again, the whole pretending to be in the 50's bit was funny, at the end when Rory asks "What do you think of the whole Sputnik thing"? Rory's wit is top notch.

The previews for this episode were misleading. They showed a scene where Rory moves into her dorm and finds Paris there. Maybe I'm mistaken, maybe that was a preview of the upcoming season, but I could have sworn it was for the season premiere. And why didn't they show Lane in this episode? Wouldn't Rory and her have a lot to talk about?

The banter between Lorelai and Rory is still funny. I think Lorelai is one of the funniest characters on TV, Lauren Graham is hilarious and needs to be recognized more often. Her one Golden Globe nomination is not enough, she needs an Emmy.

Now Max seems to be out of the picture and Lorelai shows sudden interest in Luke. I know it was always implied that Lorelai and Luke had a secret attraction towards each other, but I don't think Lorelai ever really showed interest until this episode. Could this season be the inevitable one where they finally express their feelings for one another? Will they get together??

This episode had its funny moments, but too much Taylor and not enough of the other characters. I am hoping that Luke and Lorelai will get together, but we'll see what happens. I saw an interview where Lauren Graham says that the attraction between Luke and Lorelai is part of what drives the show, and if they got together the should would end. I guess its like Lana and Clark on Smallville. But I don't think the show would end, it would add to it. Oh what do I know.

Episode Grade: C+/B-
