Unlike other TV sets, the ER DVD is not lacking in the special
features department. It includes a few behind the scenes look into
the making of Season 1 with interviews with the original cast and
crew, outtakes, and commentaries for a few of the episodes. A must
have for huge ER fans like myself.
The behind scenes documentaries takes you to the beginning when
ER was a movie script instead of a TV series, all the way to the
casting of the six main characters, to the filming of the pilot,
and even how they score and edit each episode. There are three additional
scenes that were cut from the episodes, and an outtakes reel that
provides some laughs. To get an even more indepth look into the
making of each episode, there are three audio commentaries on three
episodes by the producers and crew. These episodes include: The
Pilot, Sleepless in Chicago, and Love's Labor Lost.
